Why should I paint a playhouse?

Without a protective coating, the untreated wood is the Defenceless against the weather . Moisture allows the natural raw material to swell and makes it susceptible to fungal infestation , and the UV radiation ensures a Weathered, gray surface . This not only leads to a significantly shorter lifespan, but your playhouse is also not very attractive for children. To ensure that the little ones have a lot of fun in the garden, the playhouse should be painted in bright colours.

What colors should be used for painting a playhouse?

Wood is a natural raw material that works. It absorbs moisture and releases it again; it expands and shrinks. Therefore, a paint must not envelop the wood airtight if you want to paint a playhouse. Varnishes are not suitable, they do not allow the wood to breathe and chip off over time. This not only reduces the wood protection, but your children can also hurt themselves on the paint edges. A good color for painting a children's playhouse is characterized by the following properties :

  • based on natural oils
  • with natural, heavy metal-free pigments
  • offers protection against UV radiation, moisture, fungi and insects
